Review of a Tbilisi to Armenia day trip with UNESCO monasteries, mountain scenery, a family lunch, transport, border tips, and honest value advice.

“We had a wonderful tour with Dimi (hope I'm spelling that correctly). He had excellent, clear English (and I say that as an English teacher and native speaker) and gave a lot of interesting information about all of the sites were visited. The tour was well organized from the beginning and we left on time. We loved the places we visited and the lunch was really fantastic (and very vegetarian-friendly - yay!). The driver did a great job driving safely. This was a great way to see part of a whole new country on a day trip.”

“This is the perfect tour for those wanting a good experience of Armenia without making a week of it Got to see Lake Sevan which was the highlight, beautiful scenery and a nice restaurant also Had a couple of stops in Yerevan, it is not the most interesting of cities which is why a day trip is best, to see the main points of interest The guide Paata was very informative and helpful with whatever we needed Was very good and I recommend the tour, it’s a lot of driving but definitely worth it to get to see another country”

“Baata is our tour guide and he did a wonderful job! He is always helpful and kindly. Recommendation for everyone who has only 1 day and wants to visit Armenia in one day! This is my longest trip (16-17 hours) but it is totally worth it! Thank you Baata”

“The tour offered a wonderful glimpse at the magical world of Armenian monasteries. I was so happy that the tour had only six participants. As a small group, we could really enjoy the ride and all the sites. The monasteries were were special and showed deep spirituality of the Armenian mountain region. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and offered a great insight in Georgian and Armenian history. The lunch was of great quality in a beautiful roadside restaurant.”

“I ended up being the only “tourist” on the trip after another dropped out, meaning it was just the driver, the tour guide and I. Being a solo female traveller, I was at first a little apprehensive but they both made me feel so at home and at ease very quickly! My tour guide was very knowledgable (about the sites we were visiting of course, but we also had some great conversations about Georgia as a whole as well as the wider Caucasus region and day to day life). Her English was amazing and probably the best I came across during my time in Tbilisi. The monasteries in Armenia were…”

“It was really nice to see a bit of Armenia, was worth it! But think about your back and how long you can spend in a bus, it was our 3rd day tour in a row, now I would rest one day before a trip like this (or walk a lot😂) but in general it was cool! If you are not planning to buy souvenirs no cash needed, also bus had wifi, so sim card wasn’t necessary also.”

“The morning was a lottle big chaotic as the agent on the website keep asking us to wait in front of Spar, but there were people from other company keep asking us to go another place. We were confused as there were multiple cases of scamming happening in Tbilisi all these while. But at the end things solved out and end up we are combining several bookings from different source and depart together. The online agent should know better and communicate better. The guide Paata and the driver did and awesome job today bringing us to explore Armenia. Lake Sevan was awesome but the floor is too slippery during winters…”
